I am a maker and teacher who creates textural pieces using a range of techniques and processes.

Textiles, ceramics and metal work are the main skills I use in my work that often depict change and growth in differing ways, lots of the work appears to resemble organic forms but often contains remnants of everyday objects.  Although each piece has its own concept I like to use aged fabrics and often combine them with silver, porcelain and silks to alter the way they are perceived.

Methods such as shibori, scorching, stitching, braiding, dyeing, appliqué, digital embroidery and construction are used to combine materials like steel, fabric and clay.

My jewellery and small pieces show the delicate nature of the materials and highlight the detail that can be found in the larger works.
